Catch the Wave with Ms. Todd!

SURF'S UP! It's finally here and we are very excited to welcome our Layer students back on August 7th for Meet the Teacher! Our WAVE focuses this year will be:

  • W- Widening access to maximize all learning opportunities
  • A- Actively monitor student learning to differentiate individual needs
  • V- Value relationships and school climate
  • E- Engagement, Student Voice, and Collaboration

HERE is our "Need to Know" document for logistics for Layer Elementary. A paper copy will be going home, along with other information, in planners the first day of school!

Also, we are looking for parents to join our School Advisory Council this year! We meet monthly and discuss the progress of the school. We are always looking for feedback, suggestions, and input as we are wanting to make Layer a great place. Please let me know if you are interested in serving as a member of this committee.

Lastly, PLEASE help us ensure we have the best communication by reviewing your information in Skyward. Your contact information, medical consent, and preferred name documents are under your individual profile as well.

Please know we are here if you have questions, feedback, or needs! We look forward to working with all of your families this year!

Layer PRIDE and PBIS

Layer is proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) School! We expect all students to follow our PRIDE expectations so we can keep our school a happy and safe place for all students.

We appreciate family support as we link all behavior choices to our expectations across our campus with our continued Lucky Bucks and our consistent Behavior Alert system. Layer follows a Heirachy of Consequences in every classroom which can be viewed HERE.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct. These are the expectations that all students follow to keep our school happy and safe.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Dress Code. We ask that all students have appropriate clothing and safe shoes to play outside in each day. No flip-flops please!
