Catch the Wave with Ms. Todd!

As we start the 2026-2027 school year, we are pleased to share that Layer is a top-rated, "A" school again! Our students work incredibly hard to achieve each day and their needs are met through our various learning structures! Our teachers and staff have been intentional with the planning so that we differentiate instruction, develop collaborative opportunities, and create positive classroom environments! We are grateful for everyone's support with this exciting announcement!

Please know Skyward is updating and schedules can be viewed on Friday, July 31. However, your teacher assignments will not be official until Wednesday, August 5.

If you need support with registering or withdrawing your child for next school year, please call our office or email us at Layer_Registration@scps.k12.fl.us.

Pleases welcome our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Carson Stone!

Greetings, Layer Community!
My name is Carson Stone, and I am honored and excited to join Layer Elementary as your Assistant Principal. I have proudly served Seminole County Public Schools for the past 21 years, beginning my career as a teacher at Seminole High School before transitioning into school leadership as an Assistant Principal at Wicklow Elementary and Bentley Elementary.
I am eager to meet and serve the outstanding students, faculty, staff, families, and community partners who make Layer such a special place. Over the past several years, Layer has built a strong reputation for academic excellence and student growth, and I feel truly blessed to become part of a school community with such a strong foundation. I look forward to supporting the continued success of our students and collaborating with all stakeholders to provide an exceptional educational experience for every child.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, Sarah, and our children, Skyler and Sophie, love being outdoors. Whether we're spending time at the beach, playing pickleball, or taking our beagle on a hike, we enjoy making memories together. Sarah and I are both proud graduates of the University of Central Florida, and our family loves cheering on the Knights at sporting events—Go Knights!
I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Layer family and look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families as we work together to help every child learn, grow, and thrive.
