Principal's Message

The Book Fair is here! We love exciting events on campus like our Family Night on Tuesday! We hope you will join us Paint Night and the Book Fair! Keep reading below to RSVP!

We know that there have been many permission slips coming home for all of our fun! So that we are in compliance with state statute, we are required to get permission from parents for students to attend events/presentations within the school day. Thank you for continuing to support by completing them as soon as possible and returning them to the school. Check your child's backpack for the orange permission slip for our Teach-In presentations on November 18.

We appreciate your continued support and your willingness to partner with us so all students can achieve! As always, please let us know if you have questions or needs!

Fall Picture Retakes- November 20

Picture packets have been sent home with your child from our first picture day. If you did not preorder pictures, you received a Picture Proof with your child's picture and the online ordering information.

Our Picture Day Retakes will be on Thursday, November 20th. If you do not like your packet of pictures, you can bring them in on retake day. We also will be taking pictures of anyone who missed the prior picture day.

Lucky's Locker Support

Attendance Matters!

Please send in your excuse notes for absences or tardies to LRES_attendance@myscps.us or log into your Family Skyward account. Please be sure your doctor's & excuse notes are in within two weeks of the absence so they can be entered properly! Excuse notes need to explain the family emergency or if your child is sick to be excused. After 10 written/emailed parent notes, doctor notes are required.

Pride Expectations

PRIDE Expectations with PBIS!

Layer is proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) School! We expect all students to follow our PRIDE expectations so we can keep our school a happy and safe place for all students.

We appreciate family support as we link all behavior choices to our expectations across our campus with our continued Lucky Bucks and our consistent Behavior Alert system. Layer follows a Heirachy of Consequences in every classroom which can be viewed HERE.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct. These are the expectations that all students follow to keep our school happy and safe.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Dress Code. We ask that all students have appropriate clothing and safe shoes to play outside in each day. No flip-flops please!
