LAYER ROCKS! We had the best day for "The Life Of A Layer Lynx" on Wednesday as we participated in the nationwide program called Rock Your School! This is a day focused on student engagement and student collaboration! We loved seeing classroom themes to make it a fun experience....we wanted our kiddos to truly believe it was the best day of learning! We encourage you to ask your child about what they are learning each day to support our focus of student achivement and growth!

Calling all Layer runners!! Layer's Cross Country team is gearing up for a new season of fun! Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on October 28th.

We're looking for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade musicians to be a part of our Layer Chorus! Get an application from Mr. Harris during music this week or print one out below! All forms are due back on Friday, October 10th. Chorus practices will be held every Thursday afterschool!

Please send in your excuse notes for absences or tardies to LRES_attendance@myscps.us or log into your Family Skyward account. Please be sure your doctor's & excuse notes are in within two weeks of the absence so they can be entered properly! Excuse notes need to explain the family emergency or if your child is sick to be excused. After 10 written/emailed parent notes, doctor notes are required.
