Principal's Message

Are your ready for it? We are excited for next week for our "Rock Your School" event on October 1st! Rock Your School is a national initiative that started six years ago to encourage teachers and schools to create an educational experience by doing something different for their students. Layer is once again participating in this fun-filled day of engaging and hands-on experiences. Classrooms all over school will be transformed and the learning will be one to remember! Make sure to ask your child about their awesome day on Wednesday!

As we dive into October, our students and staff are actively learning and growing each day. We will continue to work together to live out our school vision statement: Layer Elementary is dedicated to creating life-long learners through academic exploration, positive behavior, and creative thinking so that we all become productive citizens of the future.

As always, please let us know if you have questions, feedback, or suggestions! The Adventure Awaits!

Pride Expectations

PRIDE Expectations with PBIS!

Layer is proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) School! We expect all students to follow our PRIDE expectations so we can keep our school a happy and safe place for all students.

We appreciate family support as we link all behavior choices to our expectations across our campus with our continued Lucky Bucks and our consistent Behavior Alert system. Layer follows a Heirachy of Consequences in every classroom which can be viewed HERE.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct. These are the expectations that all students follow to keep our school happy and safe.

HERE is the Seminole County Public Schools Dress Code. We ask that all students have appropriate clothing and safe shoes to play outside in each day. No flip-flops please!
